Location. The Villas Parque del Rey are located on the southwest coast of Lanzarote, in the quiet town of Playa Blanca, Spain, within 1.5 kilometres of the town centre and beach and 22 kilometres from the town of Puerto del Carmen. Hotel Features. Located in a residential neighbourhood, the Villas Parque del Rey blend in with the traditional fishing community. The property consists of 12 single-storey villas of a modern Mediterranean design.
For dining, numerous restaurants and bars along the promenade offer a variety of Spanish and international menus. The nearest supermarket is two kilometres from the villas.
A wide range of water sports can be organised on the beachfront, including boating, fishing, scuba diving and water skiing. Boats take visitors to the Papagayo beaches, and ferries depart regularly for the island of Fuerteventura.
Guestrooms. The 12 villas have modern decor with bright interiors and pink and white colour schemes. All have four bedrooms, three bathrooms, including one en-suite with a jetted tub, and kitchens with ceramic hobs, microwaves, refrigerators, coffee makers, dishwashers, washing machines and dryers. Combined dining and living areas are furnished with sofas, satellite television, DVD players and dining tables. Outdoor amenities include gardens with terraces and barbecues, private parking and eight-by-four metre private swimming pools.
Expert Tip. The National Park of Timanfaya, 16 kilometres from the hotel, consists of a lava field with active geysers and steam vents.
