Aparthotel Sun Island is an all-inclusive resort hotel next to the sea, two kilometres from the beautiful Papagayo beach and 300 metres from shops. This two-floor hotel features 210 air-conditioned apartments with bedrooms, living and dining rooms, fully-equipped kitchens and bathrooms with complimentary toiletries. All apartments have sofabeds sleeping two extra people and extend to balconies. Amenities include satellite televisions, direct-dial phones and safes. Apartments with connecting guestrooms or disabled access are available on request.
Guests can unwind in the sauna and spa bath, soak up some Spanish sun beside the pool with poolside bar or wander along to the beach 300 metres from the hotel. For those who are feeling a bit more energetic there is fitness equipment, a pool table and billiards. The hotel also has a cyber café and reading area where guests can relax in peace and comfort. Business guests will benefit from Internet access (surcharge), a conference room, banqueting facilities and exhibition space. After dark guests can unwind in the nightclub and enjoy a comprehensive entertainment programme of live music, magic shows, cabaret, Flamenco dancing, theatre and bingo. There is plenty to keep kids entertained with a children's pool, play park, adventure boat and organised activities, and a kindergarten for children under three years old. Guests can dine at the hotel's large, welcoming dining room serving hot and cold buffet-style food for breakfast and dinner. Sailing enthusiasts will find the Marina Rubicon one-and-a-half kilometres (one mile) from the hotel and the famous Montanas del Fuego (mountains of fire) national park is seven kilometres (four-and-a-half miles) away. Arrecife airport is 32 kilometres (20 miles) from the hotel and takes around 20 minutes by car.
